This weekend, I am away from the parish...in case no one noticed. I am enjoying some time away from life and just relaxing awhile. Please give a welcome to Fr. Fred and Msgr. Corbett. I am sure that they will have something witty to say about me...if it is a good story about me...believe it...if it is a bad story then don't believe it.

Can you believe that August is already here and we are readying our kids for school? They are ready to get back to a routine and see their friends...but they might not say it. Parents are probably ready for their kids to go back too. We are finishing our trips, family reunions, and other such gatherings before summer is over. These times together with family and friends gave us an opportunity to retell stories, relate new ones, and hear the news that has happened over the past year. I pray that despite the tragedies, losses of family members, we also heard and saw the power of God in our midst. May we continue to pray and seek the power of God in our lives.
