Altar Servers
Altar Servers are responsible for general duties during the Mass, including lighting of candles, holding books in position for prayers, assisting in receiving the gifts from the congregation, preparation of the altar, administering the water during the washing of hands, and carrying the processional cross as well as candles and incense, depending on the occasion.
Mission
Our mission as Altar Servers is to assist the celebrant in leading the worship service to praise and serve God. As we serve during the liturgies, we also gain a greater understanding of the liturgies. By being Altar Servers we also come closer to God. Altar Servers are expected to always set a good example when serving or participating in liturgies.
Officers/Members
There are 30 Altar Servers at Saints Peter & Paul who regularly serve at the Saturday and Sunday Masses. They also serve on special occasions like Confirmation, weddings, and funerals. The young men and women who serve are members of Saints Peter & Paul Parish and represent many area grade and high schools.

- Liturgy Education Day, September 17th; 8:30am - 12:00pm in church
- We will center around upcoming changes for Mass
- No Altar Server Training or practice
- Altar Server are strongly encourage to attend
