Father Kevin Hargaden

Father EricFather Kevin was born in Milledgeville, Georgia of Irish parents. His father was a chemistry professor at Georgia College. Many know his mother through Atlanta Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (AACCW). Having stayed at home to raise her children, Father Kevin's mom went back to school and received her degree and worked as a curator of the college museum. Father Kevin is the third child of four and second son. Father Kevin graduated from Georgia Tech with a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and worked at Grumman Aircraft Systems as an engineer. While at Georgia Tech, Father Kevin was discerning his vocation into the priesthood at Sts. Peter and Paul [ our church], gathering monthly with the Vocation Director and the IHM Sisters in the day chapel to listen to God's Call and grow in understanding of his love. Father Kevin attended seminary at St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, PA. Steeped in the Benedictine tradition of prayer and work, Father Kevin developed a great love of liturgy, in particular the Word of God. Father Kevin received an M.A. in Biblical Studies.
Archbishop Donoghue ordained Father Kevin to the priesthood on June 12, 1999 at St. Catherine of Siena in Kennesaw, Georgia. Father Kevin has served in a number of parishes in Atlanta Area since he was ordained. He was a parochial vicar at St. Joseph in Marietta, Georgia, then he served at the Cathedral. While at the Cathedral, he served as the Chaplain to Blessed Trinity High School in Roswell, Georgia. Later, Father Kevin worked as a vicar at St. Lawrence in lawrenceville and since 2007 he was a pastor for St. Peter in Lagrange, Georgia and St. Elizabeth Seton Mission in Warm Spring, Georgia.
Father Kevin loves to read, hike and go camping. Father Kevin also enjoys cooking and eating even more.


Deacon Alfred Mitchell

Deacon Alfred Deacon Alfred Mitchell is a convert to Catholicism having joined the church in 1959 while living in Washington, D. C. His wife, Josie, and he were married in that same year.

The Mitchells came to Atlanta from Michigan in 1975 and joined Saints Peter and Paul in March, 1976. Daughter, Margaret, attended what was then Sts. Peter and Paul School from the first through the eighth grade. She later attended and graduated from Marist and the Catholic University of America. She now resides in the Washington, D. C. area. The Mitchells also have an adult son, Jonathan, who lives in Hawaii.

Deacon Alfred has served Sts. Peter and Paul as a deacon since May, 1987. In that capacity his duties include serving as chaplain to the Men’s Club and as an advisor to the lectors and the adult education committee. He is also responsible for training extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion.

Deacon Alfred retired from the federal civil service in December, 1989 and from the Archdiocese of Atlanta in December, 2005. Josie is still employed by the Social Security Administration.

Deacon Jerry Lett

Deacon JerryJerry Lett is a Research Associate and the Director of Business Operations of the Georgia Tech Research Institute's Cyber Technology and Information Security Laboratory. Jerry served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years and was a commissioned officer.

Jerry grew up in Mobile, Ala., but traveled a great deal with the military. He earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE.; master's degrees in business administration from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI., Western New England College in Springfield, MA. He is a CPA licensed in the state of Georgia.

Jerry and his wife, Patricia, have three children and seven grandchildren. His hobbies include jogging and listening to jazz and gospel music; and he is an avid landscape gardener. Jerry also keeps busy as a minister in the clergy of the Catholic Church. He was ordained in June 1990 for service in the Archdiocese of Atlanta. He is a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.


Oliver Mahone, Business Manager

Oliver MahoneOliver was born and raised in Atlanta. He graduated from the University of Georgia. He worked in accounting in the banking industry before working in the same capacity at the American Cancer Society and the Community Foundation of Metro Atlanta. He has served as Business Manager at Saints Peter and Paul since 1998.


Gloria George-Patrick

Gloria George-PatrickGloria George-Patrick was born in the island of Trinidad. She and her husband Clarence have four children and five grandchildren.

Gloria is a Registered Nurse, a Licensed Midwife, Community Health, & School Nurse. She and her family moved to Atlanta in 1991, where she continued her career in Nursing.

Gloria was involved in the Catechetical Ministry and Youth Ministry in her native country for a number of years, and in 1993 she accepted the position of Director of Religious Education and Youth Ministry @ SS. Peter and Paul.

Gloria is a graduate of Loyola Institute Extension Program for Pastoral Ministry & Religious Education.

Marie Fujioka

Marie FujiokaMarie Fujioka was born on July 8, 1953 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. After ten snowy years in Chicago, her family moved to Decatur, Georgia in 1965. She has been a parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul since 1966. In 1998, she became Parish Secretary. Her office is the one with her embroidery on the walls and overgrown with plants. She is happily single, and aunt to one niece and five nephews.
